VOCATIONAL EVALUATIONS
A 20-day program that provides the individual and referring coun-
selor with a written assess-
ment of the
participant's vocation-
al abilities and potential. It answers important questions regarding physical & mental capabilities;
aptitudes, interest, general work behaviors and the ability to function socially in a work environ-
ment.
Vocational Evaluation
is appro-priate for individuals who have little or no work experience or for those who are seeking to re-enter the workforce.
Participants
are paid slightly above minimum wage while working in the program.
WORK ADJUSTMENT
This program focuses on the elimination of barriers to employ-
ment that have been identified through the Vocational
Evalua-
tion process.
Adjustment Training consists of paid employment in a
positive, supportive and accessible work environment.
Participants receive slightly more than minimum wage per hour for a 4-hour work day.
Services are designed to assist individuals
in learning the neces-
sary skills to find and maintain employment in a competitive setting.
Work Adjustment is a time limited
program consisting of incremental blocks of days. The individual will work in one of our processing centers or in one of the four
stores in Berkshire or Bennington county.
