GOODWILL, DELL PROVIDE FREE COMPUTER RECYCLING IN THE BERKSHIRES

Technology is improving every day. Today’s computers are quickly leaving yesterday’s systems in the past — or in your closet, basement or attic.

Households in the Berkshires and Southern Vermont may clean their closets and recycle their old computers and peripherals, at no-cost, by donating the equipment to their local Goodwill.

All donations, including computers for recycling, support Goodwill’s job training programs, employment placement services and other programs for people in the Berkshires and Southern Vermont who have disabilities, those who lack education or job experience, and others facing challenges to finding employment.

WHAT TYPE OF COMPUTER EQUIPMENT CAN I DONATE?

Any brand of used computer equipment in any condition. We also accept just about anything that can be connected to a computer. TVs and other electronics will still carry a small handling charge for recycling.

Households in the Berkshires and Southern Vermont may drop off computers and related accessories for free, responsible recycling at any Goodwill Donation Center. Find a donation location near you

ABOUT THE GOODWILL-DELL RECONNECT PROGRAM

Dell Reconnect is a free service that gives computer owners an easy option for safely and responsibly disposing of their old equipment. Since 2004, Dell Reconnect has recycled more than 230 million pounds of end-of-life computer equipment, helping Dell toward its global goal of recycling 1 billion pounds of computer equipment by 2014.

Since Goodwill of the Berkshires joined the program in 2011, over 100,000 pounds of computer equipment from households in the Berkshires and Southern Vermont have been responsibly recycled through the Dell Reconnect program. Learn more at DellReconnect.com.
